Fall Foliage Fest, scheduled for October 21, 2001

            Flyers mailed and promotional material distributed.

            Trophies ordered and expecting to pick up this week.

            Entries arriving.

            Approximately 40+ entries received to date.

St. John’s High Tournament, scheduled for November 18, 2001

            Flyer ready to go to print this week.

            Requesting mailing labels for MACA juniors.

                        To be mailed @ October 25th.

            Some flyers being distributed locally.  More will be distributed in FFF.

            Tony G. Compiling list of surrounding schools for flyer circulation.

            Tony G. spoke with school chess coach.  We will consolidate arrangements.

Central MA Scholastic Open ( Q1 ), January 5, 2002

Western MA Singles Championship  ( Q2 ), January 13, 2002

Eastern MA Scholastic Open ( Q3 ), February 3, 2002

Gus Gosselin Grade Championship, March 10, 2002

State Championship, March 10, 2002

MA Team Championship, April 7, 2002

 

TLA for School Mates, December issue sent in for all but the State Championship, which is invitational.

TLA for Chess Life, December issue sent in for Central MA Scholastic Open and Eastern MA Scholastic Open.  The advance TLA is due to tournaments being  early in the month.  Follow up TLA’s to Chess Life  & Chess Horizon’s are prepared and ready.

 

Sites are confirmed for all but the April 7, team tournament.  There will be a site cost of $450 - $600 for that day at Natick High School.   Need board approval to commit.

 

There may also be site costs for JFK Middle School due to recent change in Administration down town.  A meeting with principal is planned next week.

$1366.   (includes some championship costs to date).  There have been start up costs in the above numbers.  Future costs will be lower on average per tournament.  I will be speaking with last year’s sponsor about Championship trophies & awards.
