Meeting Dates

Discussion was held about the optimal night to hold meetings.  After much discussion, Monday still proved to be the most optimal.  The next best was Thursday night.  All other nights had major problems.

Promotional Mailing

An issue by the Scholastic coordinator was raised about doing promotional mailings.  Harvey Reed contracted with the senior Center to handle mailings for us at a sliding scale rate.

We are going to propose the Senior Center that for any mailing job that we will pay a minimum of $50 or 10 cents per item, which ever is greater.  They will charge us back for copies and postage.  We will give them two weeks advance notice.

Bylaw Amendment

Motion_2001-12_ 3

            King, Frymer 2nd

To amend the Maca by-laws section 4.2 to read as follows: Election of Officers and Directors: Annually, by mail ballot, the Maca corporate membership shall elect four (4) executive officers and twelve (12) directors for a total of sixteen (16) Maca board members.  Each voting member may vote for any number of director candidates up to twelve (12).  The candidates receiving the most votes shall be elected.  The election results shall be announced at the annual meeting.  Candidates may run for both an executive officer and a director position, but if elected as an executive officer, the candidate is not elected as a director.
