Rounds Time: 9:30 AM. Others on completion of each Board. Age 8 and under will finish early afternoon by 1:00PM, others by 1:30 PM.
Byes: 1/2 point bye available in round one, but must notify organizer in advance.
Prize Info: Trophies to the top three in each section., Plus medals if you score 3 points and don't win a trophy. Special medals for all Age 5 and under even if they don't win a trophy!

Entry Fee: Mail entries, and email entries(emailed 5 days prior to tournament) $15.00 All door entries $20.00.
Registration - Onsite: 8:30AM to 9:00AM. Entries after 9:00AM will receive 1/2-point bye or be paired if possible!!

  • You play all 4 rounds. You may play in a higher age group if you prefer.
  • OK to play up.

  • MACA does not recommend but allows US Chess approved electronic scorekeeping devices. Please note that some national tournaments held by US Chess ban electronic scorekeeping, so be sure to know how to keep score without aid of electronics.
