Byes: 1/2 point bye available in round one, but must notify organizer in advance.
Prize Info: Trophies for top five , Plus medals if you score 3 points and don't win a trophy. Special medals for all Age 5 and under even if they don't win a trophy!

Membership Requirement: USCF Membership required. (State memberships not required for 1st time players.)
Sections Information
Tournament Sections: Section 1: K-12, U1200
Section 2: Winners' Invitational: Any player who has scored 2.5 points or above in any one previous NESSP event is eligible to play in this section.
Tournament Rules and Other Information
  • You play all 4 rounds.
  • Only first 32 entries will be accepted due to limited number of tables
  • Please send entries as soon as possible
  • Based on number of entries the TD may have additional sections, adjusted to fit the grades and ratings of participants, or even allow a limited number of outside entries.
  • Pizza will be served for lunch break
  • Clocks are used and time forfeit may occur

  • MACA provides tournament listing for all as a service to the chess community. For question, comments, or dispute regarding events that are not organized by MACA, please contact the tournament organizer directly.
  • Remember that each player is responsible for bringing and setting up their clock. Please refer to the Metrowest Chess Club Digital Clock Guide for instructions on how to set digital clocks.
  • MACA does not recommend but allows US Chess approved electronic scorekeeping devices. Please note that some national tournaments held by US Chess ban electronic scorekeeping, so be sure to know how to keep score without aid of electronics.
