Rounds Time: Round 1 will start at 2 p.m. Next rounds will start ASAP. The tournament will conclude by 7 p.m.
Byes: Players who will miss one or more rounds are asked to request ½-point byes before the rounds they plan to skip.
Prize Info: Trophies to top 5 in each unrated section, Trophies to top 5 in rated section. Additional trophies to top U800 and top U400

Entry Fee: $20 if paid online by 4/15, $25 if paid online by 5/4. To regiter use link below.

Membership Requirement: USCF membership is required for rated section only. No membership is required for unrated sections

Unrated 3-5: trophies to top 5
Unrated 6-12: trophies to top 5
U1200 (rated): trophies to top 3, top U400 and top U800
Tournament Rules and Other Information
  • If you play in the rated section, please bring own clock. Chess will be provided. USCF rules apply.

  • To play in any Unrated section, you don't need to join USCF or MACA - just pay entry fee for the tournament when registering, using link just above.
  • To play in rated section you need to be active USCF member. To join or renew USCF membership, please use USCF link below. You don't need to be MACA member for this tournament.

  • MACA provides tournament listing for all as a service to the chess community. For question, comments, or dispute regarding events that are not organized by MACA, please contact the tournament organizer directly.
  • Remember that each player is responsible for bringing and setting up their clock. Please refer to the Metrowest Chess Club Digital Clock Guide for instructions on how to set digital clocks.
  • MACA does not recommend but allows US Chess approved electronic scorekeeping devices. Please note that some national tournaments held by US Chess ban electronic scorekeeping, so be sure to know how to keep score without aid of electronics.
