- Room can accommodate 80 players normally, we will limit to 40 players to keep comfortable distance between players. Each board takes a full 6 ft table.
- Mask is required, with the exception that both players are fully vaccinated (proof required) and both agree to not wearing masks.
- Require using hand sanitizer before each round. Hand shaking between players not required due to health precaution.
- No spectators allowed in the playing hall. Top board games will be broadcasted in the hotel lobby for spectators.
- Players are required to report to TD if having a fever or other COVID related symptoms, and we will refund to those who withdraw due to health issues.
- Live commentaries and onsite lectures by GM Nadezhda Kosintsev.
- Onsite registration not preferred: only if space allows. Please register or email before coming.
- MACA provides tournament listing for all as a service to the chess community. For question, comments, or dispute regarding events that are not organized by MACA, please contact the tournament organizer directly.
- Remember that each player is responsible for bringing and setting up their clock. Please refer to the Metrowest Chess Club Digital Clock Guide for instructions on how to set digital clocks.
- MACA does not recommend but allows US Chess approved electronic scorekeeping devices. Please note that some national tournaments held by US Chess ban electronic scorekeeping, so be sure to know how to keep score without aid of electronics.
