Byes: A maximum of two half point (½) byes are allowed. If a bye is for the last round, it must be declared before the start of round two.

Entry Fee: $20, $35 for non-BCF members; Free entry for club members rated >=2200; Free entry for GM's and IM's
Registration - Onsite: At site 6:45pm - 7:10pm; however entering online via the event webpage link is recommended
Membership Requirement: A current USCF membership is required

  • Bye and withdrawal requests must be received by 6:45pm.
  • Sections with fewer than 10 players may be merged.
  • ** A current USCF membership is required **
  • Players rated >=1700 may play in the open section
  • Any player holding the title of either Grandmaster or International Master may play in any BCF tournament with no entry fee, and no entry fee will be withheld from any prize he or she wins.
  • Any club member rated 2200+ may play in the Thursday Night Swiss with no entry fee and no prize deductions.
  • ***All tournaments beginning in October will be held at our new location at 35 Kingston St (first floor up a few steps...handicap accessible via street level elevator) Boston MA
