In New Boston Location! Two tournaments, one entry fee! December 17. Regular rated tournament and a blitz tournament

Time Control: First event: G/65 d10. Second event G/5 blitz
Rounds Time: 3SS 10:00am, 1:30pm, and 4:30pm. 5SS double round Blitz 7:15pm
Byes: First event: One 1/2 point bye allowed. Second event: Two 1-point byes allowed.
Prize Info: None, this is a fundraising event. However morning coffee, hot chocolate, donuts, and a pizza lunch are all included!

Registration Information
Entry Fee: $50 for the day and enables you to play in both events with no additional fee.
Registration - Onsite: 9:15am-9:45am (onsite). However entering in advance online via the event webpage link is recommended
Membership Requirement: A current USCF membership is required for the first 3 sections. The unrated section has no membership restrictions. The blitz event is USCF rated and requires USCF membership.

Tournament Rules and Other Information
  • Event located at 35 Kingston St, Boston, MA, near Downtown Crossing. First floor, handicap accessible.
  • Support the BCC and come play in this fundraising event! A single entry fee will allow you to support your favorite chess club,
  • and to play in both a 3SS G/65 d10 tournament during the day and five double rounds of G5 rated blitz in the evening.
  • Morning coffee, hot chocolate, donuts, and a pizza lunch are all included!
  • Players in the Unrated section do not need USCF membership; USCF membership required for all other players, including the blitz.
  • Come have a full day of chess fun in our beautiful new downtown location, enjoy each other's company during the holiday season, and together build a stronger chess community!

  • MACA provides tournament listing for all as a service to the chess community. For question, comments, or dispute regarding events that are not organized by MACA, please contact the tournament organizer directly.
  • Remember that each player is responsible for bringing and setting up their clock. Please refer to the Metrowest Chess Club Digital Clock Guide for instructions on how to set digital clocks.
  • MACA does not recommend but allows US Chess approved electronic scorekeeping devices. Please note that some national tournaments held by US Chess ban electronic scorekeeping, so be sure to know how to keep score without aid of electronics.
