Registration Information
Entry Fee: $35, $20 for BCF members, $5 more if not registering online in advance; Free entry for GM's and IM's; Free entry for BCF members rated 2300+, but entry fee deducted from won prize.
Registration - Onsite: 9:30am-9:45am (onsite). However entering in advance online via the event webpage link is recommended

Tournament Rules and Other Information
  • Event located at 35 Kingston St, Boston, MA, near Downtown Crossing, first floor.
  • ** A current USCF membership is required **
  • Any player holding the title of either Grandmaster or International Master may play in any BCF tournament with no entry fee, and no entry fee will be withheld from any prize he or she wins.
  • Any club member rated 2300+ may play in any Saturday BCF tournament with no entry fee, but the entry fee will be deducted from any prize he or she wins.
  • If the number of players is not divisible by 4 then the bottom section will be a small swiss with 5-7 players.

  • On February 4 the building's pipes in the basement froze and we had no water. That issue is resolved!
  • ABSOLUTELY NO ONSITE REGISTRATION AFTER 9:45AM.

  • Remember that each player is responsible for bringing and setting up their clock. Please refer to the Metrowest Chess Club Digital Clock Guide for instructions on how to set digital clocks.
  • MACA does not recommend but allows US Chess approved electronic scorekeeping devices. Please note that some national tournaments held by US Chess ban electronic scorekeeping, so be sure to know how to keep score without aid of electronics.
