Entry Fee: $20 for U1000, U600, Unrated Sections / $25 Entry w/ Free Youth USCF / $25 for Open & U1500
Registration - Onsite: 9:15 AM - 9:45 AM. Round 1 at 10:00 AM
Membership Requirement: USCF Membership Required. FREE USCF MEMBERSHIP for 1st TIME PLAYERS

Tournament Sections: OPEN = 1st Place $100, 1st Place Trophy, 2nd Place $50
U1500 = 1st Place $50, 1st Place Trophy
U1000 = Trophies 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place
U600 = Trophies 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place
Tournament Rules and Other Information
  • Use GREAT ROAD (Rear) Entrance, off of Breakneck Hill Road (Route 123) - Follow signs after covered bridge
  • FREE USCF $20 "Youth" MEMBERSHIP INCLUDED with $25 ENTRY - TOURNAMENT IS FREE for 1st-TIME PLAYERS
  • On-site entry day of event, EF is $5 Extra. Cash Only. Adult & Students can both play
  • Late Entries will receive 1/2 pt bye or be paired if possible
  • Round 1 will start at 10:00 AM, will run continuous. U600/U1000 will Finish around 1:00-1:30 PM, Others around 3:00 PM
  • Anyone can always play "up" in a higher rated or unrated section. Sections may be combined at Directors discretion
  • Chess Sets provided, Please bring a clock if you have one
  • Event will run rain or shine, covered pavilions. No food available for sale, Bathrooms are available

  • MACA does not recommend but allows US Chess approved electronic scorekeeping devices. Please note that some national tournaments held by US Chess ban electronic scorekeeping, so be sure to know how to keep score without aid of electronics.
