Tournament Rules and Other Information
  • Event located at 35 Kingston St, Boston, MA, near Downtown Crossing, first floor.
  • Free entry for players rated >=2200 between September 2023 and September 2024
  • Any player holding the title of either Grandmaster or International Master may play in any BCF tournament with no entry fee, and no entry fee will be withheld from any prize he or she wins.
  • Players will be split into groups of 4-6 players and will play a double round robin against each of the other players in their section.
  • This event runs concurrently with the club championship.
  • Players are allowed to reschedule games as needed.

  • If the metal gate to the building is closed, please press the doorbell marked number 1.

  • MACA provides tournament listing for all as a service to the chess community. For question, comments, or dispute regarding events that are not organized by MACA, please contact the tournament organizer directly.
  • Remember that each player is responsible for bringing and setting up their clock. Please refer to the Metrowest Chess Club Digital Clock Guide for instructions on how to set digital clocks.
  • MACA does not recommend but allows US Chess approved electronic scorekeeping devices. Please note that some national tournaments held by US Chess ban electronic scorekeeping, so be sure to know how to keep score without aid of electronics.
