Byes: A maximum of three 1 point byes per double round allowed; If the bye is for the last round, it must be declared before the start of round two.

Registration Information
Entry Fee: $10 for club members; $15 for non-BCF members. Free entry for GM's and IM's.
Registration - Onsite: Doors open at 7:30. However entering in advance online via the event webpage link is recommended.
Membership Requirement: A current USCF membership is required. https://new.uschess.org/join-us-chess

  • Event located at 35 Kingston St, Boston, MA, near Downtown Crossing, first floor.
  • ** A current USCF membership is required **
  • Any player holding the title of either Grandmaster or International Master may play in any BCF tournament with no entry fee, and no entry fee will be withheld from any prize he or she wins.
  • We'll play six double rounds (one game with each color) with a G/5 time control, no delay and no increment. Doors open at 7:30pm, first round starts at 7:45pm.
  • Afterwards, what happens happens...
  • Please note, this event may be canceled in the event of low registration. In the event of cancellation, entry fees will be refunded and you will be notified by email at approximately 6:00pm on the day of the event.

  • If the metal gate to the building is locked, please press the doorbell marked number 1.
