- Out-of-State players can win 1st place Individual & Team Trophies in all sections; Teams must be from same school. Top 4 scores will be used for team score

- SIBLINGS DISCOUNT -$5 for each sibling reg. by 3/29, TEAM DISCOUNT: Schools with 4 OR MORE PLAYERS Eligible for a -$5 per person "Entry Fee Discount"."
- This is Both a Scholastic Multi-State INDIVIDUAL & TEAM Championship. OPEN TO STUDENTS FROM RI, MA, CT, NH, VT, ME & EVERY STATE. Team players will not paired against each other unless its Round 3-4 and are competing for 1st Place Individual Champion.
- Team Competition: Each school's team score is calculated by adding points from the top 4 players on that team. Minimum of 3 players for a team. Maximum limit is 7-8 players per team. Teams with 9-10+ players or more should register two teams A & B Teams.
- Tournament will Start at 9:00 AM; Pairing done at 8:40 AM. Late Entries the Day of Event pay +$10 more. After pairing player may receive 1/2 pt. bye for round 1
- Chess Sets will be provided. Please bring a chess clock if you have one, clocks are limited. There will be a 40-45 minute break for lunch.
- The Ocean State Chess Association is the Official USCF Rhode Island State Affiliate. Registered Non-Profit, all proceeds go to support chess & schools

- MACA does not recommend but allows US Chess approved electronic scorekeeping devices. Please note that some national tournaments held by US Chess ban electronic scorekeeping, so be sure to know how to keep score without aid of electronics.
