Rounds Time: Rapid Round 1 @ 11 AM, Blitz @ 2:30 PM, Bullet @ 4:30 PM, then all ASAP
Byes: NO 1/2 point byes, but players may select to skip any event.
Prize Info: $2,500 and more in Prizes, see event flyer for complete prize details.  , Day 2 of 2026 Connecticut Chess Festival. Festival includes more activities and GM Irina Krush Lecture, Simul and OTB Arena on Day 1.

Registration Information
Entry Fee: $35 and more, depending on date of registration and number of events.(Unrated Rapid, Blitz & Bullet events are included in Festival entry.)
Registration - Onsite: Onsite permitted. See event flyer for details.
Sections Information
Tournament Sections: Open Rapid/Blitz/Bullet: $200-150-100 per event, Bonuses: Overall 1st: $200; Top U2200-2000-1800-1600: $150-100-100-100
Open (trophy prizes) Champion trophies per event and overall, Champion plaques to Top Senior, Woman, Collegiate, High, Middle and Elementary School players
Amateur (U1800) Trophies to Top 3 per event and Top 3 overall, Bonuses: Overall 1st $100 and $50 to 1st per event.
Novice (U1200) Trophies to Top 3 per event and Top 3 overall, Bonuses: Overall 1st $100 and $50 to 1st per event.
Tournament Rules and Other Information
  • Entry to USCF-rated Speed Championship includes Festival entry for the day.
  • (If you are playing this event, you do NOT need to register separately for the Festival.)
  • Unrated Rapid, Blitz & Bullet events are included as part of Festival and requires Festival entry instead of event entry. (see Festival flyer
  • ALL STATES WELCOME!

  • MACA provides tournament listing for all as a service to the chess community. For question, comments, or dispute regarding events that are not organized by MACA, please contact the tournament organizer directly.
  • Remember that each player is responsible for bringing and setting up their clock. Please refer to the Metrowest Chess Club Digital Clock Guide for instructions on how to set digital clocks.
  • MACA does not recommend but allows US Chess approved electronic scorekeeping devices. Please note that some national tournaments held by US Chess ban electronic scorekeeping, so be sure to know how to keep score without aid of electronics.
