- WWII Veteran LOU GIARRUSSO (May 11, 1923 – Sept. 9, 2024) a local RI WWII Veteran and chess player, passed away in 2024 We started this tournament to celebrate his 100th & 101 birthday’s. We continue the tradition to honor his legacy

- Open to Out-of-State Players. Please follow signs and park in back to Shea Science Center Entrance.. Beautiful Venue
- FREE PIZZA & DRINKS. Tournament runs continuously, except for short lunch break
