  • WWII Veteran LOU GIARRUSSO (May 11, 1923 – Sept. 9, 2024) a local RI WWII Veteran and chess player, passed away in 2024 We started this tournament to celebrate his 100th & 101 birthday’s. We continue the tradition to honor his legacy
  • $1,500 + $500 Trophies = 3rd Biggest Prize Fund awarded at R.I. Rated event. Prizes Guaranteed
  • Open to Out-of-State Players. Please follow signs and park in back to Shea Science Center Entrance.. Beautiful Venue
  • FREE PIZZA & DRINKS. Tournament runs continuously, except for short lunch break
  • Advance EF by Sun. 5/3; EF is $5-$10 more from 5/4- 5/8; EF extra +$10 on Day of Event Sat. 5/9. Late Entries may be paired or receive 1/2 pt. Bye
