- Massachusetts Junior Open Champion title to top scoring Mass. resident or student in the Open Section.
- Team score is determined by adding top 3 scores of players on a team in a section.
- No rating restriction for school teams. For non-school teams, average rating of top 3 players must be under 1800 in Open, under 1000 in U1200, under 600 in U800, under 200 in U400.
- Email team name and list of players to info@masschess.org.
- New players: enter ID number as 00000000, pay for USCF and MACA memberships, send email to info@masschess.org with player's name, address and date of birth.
- USCF and MACA membership required.
- Please bring chess sets and clocks if possible.
- MACA provides tournament listing for all as a service to the chess community. For question, comments, or dispute regarding events that are not organized by MACA, please contact the tournament organizer directly.
- Remember that each player is responsible for bringing and setting up their clock. Please refer to the Metrowest Chess Club Digital Clock Guide for instructions on how to set digital clocks.
- MACA does not recommend but allows US Chess approved electronic scorekeeping devices. Please note that some national tournaments held by US Chess ban electronic scorekeeping, so be sure to know how to keep score without aid of electronics.
