Registration Information
Entry Fee: $10, $15 for non-BCF members; Free for GM's and IM's, and also for club members who are rated at least 2200
Registration - Onsite: 6:45pm - 7:10pm; However entering in advance online via the event webpage link is recommended.
Membership Requirement: A current USCF membership is required. https://new.uschess.org/join-us-chess

Tournament Sections: 2 game matches between seeds 1+2, 3+4, 5+6 etc.
Tournament Rules and Other Information
  • Event located at 35 Kingston St, Boston, MA, near Downtown Crossing, first floor.
  • ** A current USCF membership is required **
  • Any player holding the title of either Grandmaster or International Master may play in any BCF tournament with no entry fee, and no entry fee will be withheld from any prize he or she wins.
  • Any club member rated 2200+ may play in the Thursday Night Matches with no entry fee and no prize deductions.
  • Play competitive matches during the short month. Each night play two games against the same opponent, one with each color.
  • Players will be paired 1 vs 2, 3 vs 4, etc. After the first night, winners will be paired with other winners, etc.
  • Entry fee is $10 per night ($15 for non-members). Even if you can only make one night, come by for a competitive match!

  • If the metal gate to the building is locked, please press the doorbell marked #1

  • MACA provides tournament listing for all as a service to the chess community. For question, comments, or dispute regarding events that are not organized by MACA, please contact the tournament organizer directly.
  • Remember that each player is responsible for bringing and setting up their clock. Please refer to the Metrowest Chess Club Digital Clock Guide for instructions on how to set digital clocks.
  • MACA does not recommend but allows US Chess approved electronic scorekeeping devices. Please note that some national tournaments held by US Chess ban electronic scorekeeping, so be sure to know how to keep score without aid of electronics.
