- Want to play strong opponents? Then this event is for you!
- We have assembled a gang of strong players. Chess gladiators, all rated at least 2000, and some much higher. They're not playing each other, they're playing the challengers. They're playing YOU!
- Can you score a point? Test your might!
- Participation is limited to club members. Participation is also currently limited to the first 6 players to sign up in each section, but may expand depending on how many Gladiators we can recruit.
- The fine print: Challengers must be rated at least 1900 to play in the top section (Premier), and will play Gladiators rated >2200. Challengers must be rated at least 1600 to play in the middle section (Rising Stars), and will play Gladiators rated 2000+.
- Anyone may register for the bottom section (Future Experts), and will play Gladiators rated 1600+.
- If you are interested in playing as a Gladiator please reach out to the club at info@boylstonchess.org
- If the metal gate to the building is locked, please press the doorbell marked number 1.
- MACA provides tournament listing for all as a service to the chess community. For question, comments, or dispute regarding events that are not organized by MACA, please contact the tournament organizer directly.
- Remember that each player is responsible for bringing and setting up their clock. Please refer to the Metrowest Chess Club Digital Clock Guide for instructions on how to set digital clocks.
- MACA does not recommend but allows US Chess approved electronic scorekeeping devices. Please note that some national tournaments held by US Chess ban electronic scorekeeping, so be sure to know how to keep score without aid of electronics.
