Board of Director Meeting Minutes

Wednesday, July 7, 2021, 7:30pm

Virtual Meeting

ATTENDEES: Andrew Hoy (President), Robert Messenger (Treasurer), Jeff Caruso (Clerk), Directors Paul Arond and Latanya Sweeney, and guest Charles Slade (not voting).  Directors Oleg Poliannikov and Yi Wang joined later.

Called to order at 7:42pm.

1. Minutes

MOTION (AH/BM): to approve the minutes of the June 9, 2021 board meeting.  Passed 5-0.

2. Upcoming tournaments. 

Members discussed arrangements for the Massachusetts Girls’ Championship, the Massachusetts Senior Open, the New England Open, and the Massachusetts Open.

MOTION (AH/LS): To authorize the Tournament Committee Chair, Bob Messenger, to contract with either the Marriott Quincy or the Four Points Sheraton in Norwood to host the Massachusetts Open on Columbus Day weekend.

Passed 5-0.

3. Executive Session

The Board met in executive session from 8:00pm until 10:38pm.

Mr. Poliannikov and Mr. Wang were now present at the meeting.

4. Date of the next meeting

Unanimous consent motion (AH): the next meeting will be on August 25, 2021, at 7:30pm, via Zoom. Passedwithout objection.
