presented to the children, most of whom were black and understood Spanish
betterthan English. The tournament was run by the coach who had no money to buy
prizes. All the children were able to make notations during the game. Some
of them had interesting games. |

representing MACA ran an inner-city tournament at the Agassiz
school in Jamaica Plain. Over 45 children took part.
Equipment furnished by the LMCF was used for the event. A large number of
females played at both schools. Some of those girls showed the boys a thing or
two! |
